Time to Board the 'Night Train'
Jason Aldean, “Night Train”, (Broken Bow)
Country music’s favorite rocker, Jason Aldean, is roaring full steam ahead with his latest studio album “Night Train” proving once again that he is a force to be reckoned with.
Like his previous album “My Kinda Party” Aldean tests the social norms of country music with songs like “1994″, another country-rap crossover song similar to Aldean’s smash hit “Dirt Road Anthem”. Honoring 90′s country singer Joe Diffie, Aldean chants Joe, Joe, Joe Diffie! at the end of the chorus in the song. “1994″ is by far one of the more lighthearted songs on the album
The title track “Night Train” and “Feel That Again” are two songs fans should definitely look forward to seeing in concert this year. The screaming guitar riffs and arena rock drums leaves listeners keep wanting to turn the dial up on their volume. Aldean also stays true to his love for small town life in “Nothin’ Town”, singing Don’t let that one red light fool ya. There’s always somethin’ goin’ down in this nothin’ town.
“Staring At The Sun” is by far one of the better songs off the album. It’s a intimate love song with calm and soothing guitar throughout each verse and countered with more rock ballad guitar riffs throughout the chorus where Aldean sings, She gets on you, under your skin like a tattoo .
Aldean also made three huge announcement yesterday stating that he will be playing at Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Wrigley Field, and the University of Georgia. The Fenway show will take place July 13 and will mark the first ever country show to be held at the park. Aldean will be accompanied by another huge name in country music, Miranda Lambert, who is known for her hits like “Me and Charlie Talking”, “White Liar”, and “Gunpowder & Lead”.
“Night Train” is on track to bring another successful year to Jason Aldean and his band who are still celebrating the wild success of their last album “My Kinda Party” which sold over 2.5 million copies and earned Aldean three number one’s on the US Country chart.
It’s hard to compete with Jason Aldean these days. Many have been fans of his since the days of his self titled album “Jason Aldean” and his followup, “Relentless”, but it wasn’t until last year that Aldean made a name for himself. “Night Train” will certainly only build upon the country music star’s rising fame.
