I'm an experienced high school teacher with over 20 years of experience in education. I've tutored all levels of math up through advanced multivariable calculus level (calculus 4). I'm certified and licensed by the state of MA to teach 5th-8th grade math, 8th-12th grade math, and 8th-12th grade physics. I enjoy helping with homework and practice problems and am interested in teaching you the concepts as well as getting all those correct answers which you'd like to see.

Our son has had two sessions with Dave and they?ve both gone great! He has an excellent way of teaching the content in a way that is understandable and manageable. He?s an excellent communicator and comes so well prepared to maximize his time in the session. He?s also been so responsive to questions and texts. Such a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend Dave for math tutoring!

Knowledgeable and knows his stuff. Came to this conclusion after vetting a few tutors for a topic our son was having trouble with. Many were stumped by the sample problem sent in advance, however Dave responded with a "yes I can definitely help with these"! Our son had a great first session with Dave and will use him for follow-up sessions.

Our school district has forced all students to progress at the same pace in math through middle school, regardless of interest or capability. We are lucky to have great teachers who can help students individually, but really their hands are tied, and more advanced students can't progress much beyond the pace of the least interested or most challenged students. A few parents got together to find a tutor to challenge our kids and provide them with a more in-depth math education. Dave has been doing this for a couple of months now. Dave is challenging them, teaching them new concepts, and giving them a love of for math. And the best part - the kids enjoy it!

My high school son is looking forward to his next session. David worked with my son at his level and is an expert in his field, mathematics. I recommend working with David.

Dave is tutoring my son (college freshman) for calc1. Dave is detailed and patient. He sends my son material ahead of the lesson and is very knowledgeable. I am hoping to have him continue tutoring my son for calc2 and differential equations. So far so good.
- Ronit J. from Staten Island, NY
Dave is always able to help with any questions/problems I have. He will take his time to make sure I understand what he did and the steps he took to get to his answer. He always uses extra outside resources that are even better than the information I have for my class.

We were very pleased with Dave D. as a Physics tutor. Our son was struggling in Honors Physics and we reached out to Dave shortly before his mid-term exam. Dave helped him prepare for the exam and he went from getting Cs and Ds on his tests to getting a B on his mid-term! Dave continued to work with our son throughout the school year. He was especially helpful with circular motion, work and energy, impulse momentum and collision, rotational motion, and circuits. Dave explained the concepts thoroughly and in a way that made sense, something our son's Physics teacher wasn't able to do. Dave was also very responsive and accommodating. He offered to help with homework questions in between sessions, and was willing to reschedule sessions at the last moment when our son's tennis matches, doctor's appointments, etc. got rescheduled. We highly recommend Dave D. as a Physics tutor. Our son wouldn't have made it through Physics without him!

Dave was helpful in discussing and explaining differential equations modeling and applications in control system areas like RLC circuits and rotary damping elements of gear systems. Thank you
- Kyle S. from Silverton, OR
Dave was accommodating in explaining the method for finding the Standard Gibbs free energy of formation of a system and explained specific problems involving the 1st Law and 2nd Law of thermodynamics." (My son was preparing for Science Olympiad competition Harvard and State level) My son is in 7th grade, and he explained to him at his level so that he can easily understand. I recommend anyone looking for a Physics tutor, and he is well prepared for the session and very patient to listen to your question.

Dave provided an excellent explanation for the vectors and directions involved with magnetic force, fields, current and velocity. Much faster than all the other aid I have been given in the past.
- Ethan S. from Harrah, OK
Dave was very good with my son and was able to answer all of his calculus questions! He is very easy to schedule and quickly responds to all requests. I highly recommend Dave.

Dave has done a terrific job in helping this student understand Algebra which he has struggled with all year. Since working with Dave, his grade has gone from F to C in a very short period of time.
- Janet H. from Henderson, NV
Dave helped me with precalculus, calculus and physics, he helped me through my freshmen year of college and I would recommend him to anyone. He is always respectful and willing to do anything to help. He has met with me when I was in a jam and tries his hardest to help.
- Collin S. from Springfield, MA
Dave explained how to do problems and helped work through worksheets for Calculus II. Dave spent over an hour with me since we needed more time to finish a set of problems.
- Lisa R. from Somers, CT
Helped with studying for finals and doing homework. He helped answer any questions I had and we went over it all to make sure we understood every question no matter how hard the question it was.

My daughter said that this was the first time someone explained statistics in language she understands. I am very pleased that she feels more confident with the material. Saying thank you is not enough, but thank you!
- Tonya W. from Springfield, MA
I have been through a LOT of physics tutors and none have been helpful. Yes, they were knowledgeable but just could not teach it. Dave can teach anything with physics!! This is the tutor to see!!
- Meaghan C. from North Oxford, MA
I am a literature major and was required to take one mathematics course in order to graduate. I have struggled with math my entire life and knew I would have a tough time getting through my college statistics homework each week. Luckily Dave was willing to meet with me weekly at the local library to help me with my work. We covered a range of topics including descriptive statistics, conditional probability, hypothesis testing, type I/type II errors, inference about a mean, confidence intervals, linear regression, histograms, IQR, normal distribution, Z tables, t values, p values and more!!! Dave is extremely patient and breaks down the material in a way that was easy to comprehend, even better than when my professor taught it. After our sessions I received A's on all of my assignments and tests! My expectations were exceeded as I would have been satisfied to simply pass my very difficult statistics course, but with Dave's help I was able to finish this course with an A average!!! Statistics work is very challenging and involved -- Do yourself a favor, save yourself some stress and reach out to Dave for help. I highly recommend him as a tutor , specifically for statistics in my case. Thanks Dave!
